George is a seasoned trial attorney with over 50 years of experience in both the criminal and civil arenas in all New Jersey courts. During his career, he handled criminal cases in both NY and NJ federal court, and on occasion, in Florida for a collateral wiretap case.
After graduating from Rutgers University in 1970, he attended New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts where he earned his J.D. degree in 1973. Always wanting to move to Florida, he not only took the bar exams in Massachusetts, and his home state of New Jersey, but also in Florida, all within five (5) months, and he successfully passed them all, being admitted to all in 1973.
Due to related family health issues, he had to return to New Jersey, where he began his career at the Passaic County Prosecutors Office, and soon thereafter he was in the pit trying well over a 100 juvenile and adult criminal cases within a three (3) year period.
He left the Prosecutor’s office to continue his career in the private sector with a small boutique firm in Paterson, NJ, that handled both criminal and civil matters, but he soon developed his own clientele through his own reputation and large family contacts, compelling him to open his own firm in 1978 in Paterson and Totowa, NJ.
After being a solo practitioner for 22 years, he started his own firm with other attorneys in 2001, in Totowa, New Jersey, and due to his expanding practice, he was admitted to the New York State bar and the Federal Eastern District of NY.
After living in Wayne, NJ for over 10 years, he and his family moved to Florham Park, NJ where they resided for 30 years, until finally being able to fulfill their dream. So they re-located to Florida in November of 2022, where he commenced work at Ged Lawyers, LLP, with the privilege of working together with both of his well-respected, successful and loving cousins, Glen C. Ged and Marius J. Ged.
At Ged Lawyers, LLP, he participates in weekly case file reviews for personal injury claims, client relations, settlement negotiation reviews, property damage claims review, client pod oversight, and collaboration with the other members of the firm in all aspects, including marketing and client development in the practice areas of Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and the No Surprise Act (NSA), in New Jersey, Florida and Massachusetts, and soon to branch out to other States where the firm is presently involved and intending to develop a client base.
George’s personality and experience enables him to understand, assess and appropriately address the various client needs.
At the firm, George is known as “Ambassador to the Clients”
